Here is some of her insight, inspirations and experience!
J: How does music make you feel?
BDot: Music gives me a completely different energy that any other art form I've participated in. When music is good, you can feel it in your soul. From the beat to the lyrics, I become one with the message.
J:What keeps you from quitting?
BDot: I can't quit because the industry needs me. I think I'm one of a kind. Hiphop needs more womenn who a strong, independent and not selling sex to get views. I can't quit because I have a DJ (Dj Hood of Trap Monopoly Inc.) who continuosly pushes me to new heights on each project. He won't allow me to quit.
J: what are your internal/external influences
BDot: Externally, my influences include: Cleveland, the media, my supporters and the state of women in hiphop. Each play a huge role in my lyrics, delivery, image and zeal for hiphop. Constantly being overlooked in my own city is a huge motivator to go harder each time. My supporters constantly encourage me to continue along with this pursuit. The media (news) is so depressing at times and I use that to help me write.
Internally, my influence is my relationship with God. I believe he put me on this earth to do exactly what I am doing. I have a message. I believe if people can look past all the bs that's in the industry, they would see I'm a true gem.
I thought she was worth mentioning!
